In a significant development for Egypt's infrastructure, a local trader and stockist in the country has secured a substantial order of welded steel pipes for a bridge construction project. The end customer, a renowned Egyptian construction contractor established in 1985, is at the helm of this ambitious bridge - building endeavor.
The project, located in Egypt, specifically calls for EN 10210 - 2 S355 standard welded steel pipes with specifications ranging from 193.7mm to 406.4mm. These pipes, amounting to approximately 1043 tons, are set to play a crucial role in the bridge construction.
The inquiry for this order was initiated in October 2020, and within a month, in November 2020, the order was confirmed. To ensure the highest quality and adherence to standards, the purchaser appointed a third - party company to oversee the entire production process.
After rigorous testing, all data met the stringent requirements outlined in the contract. The order was then shipped in two batches. The first batch set sail for Egypt in January 2021, followed by the second batch in February 2021. These pipes finally arrived at their destination in April 2021, ready to be integrated into the bridge construction project.
This successful procurement and delivery mark a significant milestone in the project's progress, bringing Egypt one step closer to completing this vital piece of infrastructure.
